Like all the Secular Institutes, the Equipières sociales strive to transform the world from within, by the vital strengths of the Gospel. They favour action among the destitute, the youth and families.

The Mystery of the Redemption strongly inspires their consecration and their action as witnesses of Christ. A particular characteristic of their Institute is team life, which, as lay people, is a place of human and spiritual growth following the example of the first Christians.

Marie-Paule Émond
On June 25, 2024, at the age of 104, Marie-Paule Émond died. She was the last member of the Les Équipières Sociales Institute. With Gabrielle Lachance, Oblate, Paul Demers, of the Pius X Institute, she was part of the trio which saw to the founding of the CCIS in 1972.
